These walks are designed to be easy, but they may become more challenging, given winter conditions.

Nordic walking poles help to propel you forward and work your upper body. They also contribute to your safety and balance. We have plenty.

We supply the snowshoes. Let us know if you have your snowshoes.

A good pair of hiker/walker shoes generally will do well.

Sports clothing

When starting, you should have the proper clothing for nordic walking. Choose light, comfortable, loose, fitting sports clothing. You must have freedom of movement for significant actions while being well-ventilated.

A small backpack

The backpack is the essential accessory for every walking session! For carrying a bottle of water and provisions for energy. Never forget to take water: good hydration is essential for any sport.

Therefore:

Be dressed for the weather. Please come prepared for outside winter activity, wearing good winter boots and warm outerwear, including a toque, mitts and neck warmer, and layers to shed when we sweat. Please bring a pack with a full water bottle and a snack. The program has a cold weather cutoff at -20.

If you have your poles and slip-on grippers, bring them. Otherwise, poles and snowshoes will be provided.
