Get Art Active

Our art class event, "Get Art Active" with ElderActive, is focused on promoting being active in mind and spirit and fostering community through learning art.

We will host/deliver a total of 10 art classes this Fall, with different art mediums and a variety of local artists teaching the classes.

Sept 11th - Donna Milne - Birthday Card Making

Join Donna for a fun and creative card-making class where you’ll create two beautiful birthday cards—one elegant and one whimsical! You’ll learn some fun paper-crafting techniques while creating cards that are ready to give to someone special.

Sept 18th - Janet Patterson - Felted Landscapes

Join Janet Patterson for a beginner-friendly class in needle felting a beautiful landscape in wool. Learn how to use different types of wool and silk to create a small (6” x 4”) art piece that you can proudly display on a wall or give as a gift. All supplies will be provided; you just need to bring your imagination and possibly a reference photo if there is a specific landscape you wish to re-create. *Hosted at the ERA office
